Carlos and Lily Llambés serve as missionaries in Panamá. Carlos serves as the missions catalyst for the Caribbean Islands.

With decades of ministry experience in the Dominican Republic, Mexico City, and Panamá, Carlos and Lily have learned the importance of cultural understanding and adaptability. Their ministry includes the founding of a preschool for street children, providing critical relief after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, and addressing both physical and spiritual needs during the 2023 Caribbean floods.

They are encouraged by 1 Corinthians 10:31. This verse emphasizes that all aspects of life, whether eating, drinking, or anything else, should be done for the glory of God.

Carlos also pastors a local church that teaches that a true disciple exhibits six key transformations: heart, mind, affections, will, relationships, and purpose. Committed to these principles, the church community in Panamá strives to embody these traits as they serve and glorify God. Students are challenged to embody these traits and consider how all of their daily activities can be done to the glory of God.

Involve your teenagers in ongoing missions discipleship and empower them to discover their own roles as disciples of Jesus who live on mission. Through each unit of Missions Journey: Students, teens will meet missions personnel serving all around the world, be encouraged to grow in discipleship, and become active agents of gospel change in their own communities.

This fully-digital resource contains plans for four weekly sessions, including links to the missions videos, missions project ideas, supplemental activities, prayer activities, and a leader devotion.

This material is designed for students in grades 7–12. WMU recommends adult leaders preview all lesson and video content before sharing it with their students.
